17 April 2010 - FOLK/EDWIN SHOE COLLABORATION
Folk is a casual menswear brand born in 2001 in London, Shofolk, the sister (and brother) footwear collection for men and women, followed in 2004. Shofolk is designed by the same team and has the same ethos combining distinctive shapes with natural leathers to create functional yet stylish footwear. Production is limited to keep the quality levels high with a nice by-product that their owners are unlikely to bump into someone wearing the same pair. This Edwin/Folk collaboration is extremely limited - one pair in each size only.
9 April 2010 - THREE OVER ONE AUTUMN
When Jim Thompson's Three Over One made its debut last year there was much excitement among those of us wanting something more from Australian designers than graphic heavy t shirts and endless variations on "streetwear". Clean, tailored and with more than a nod to the 1940's, Three Over One has landed for Autumn with a small drop of athletic-themed wear. From a time when gymnasiums were more about keeping fit than posing and steroids, and thankfully not a logo in sight. More to come next month.
25 March 2010 - NEW SEASON SUPERFINE JEANS
As the shadows lengthen and the days get shorter a young man's thoughts turn to...new jeans - Superfine jeans specifically. We have two new styles in the skinny Sly fit (a black shine and a flatter drill finish with a seam) and two new colours of matt blue drill - washed and dark - in the ever popular Kid. The best fitting jean you'll ever try on remains Superfine.
9 March 2010 - LATE SUMMER FLING
As summer slowly relinquishes its sweaty grip and the evenings begin to cool, we at division 2 bring you what Harvey Norman et al call a "promotion". It's not really a sale, but it does mean you get stuff very cheap for a limited period. Selected shirts at 2 for $100, t's at 3 for $60, jeans at 2 for $120 - that kind of thing. Unfortunately there's no interest-free period and you will have to pay now, but it's still a hell of a deal we think you'll agree. Instore only until Sunday 21st.
10 February 2010 - LAST WEEKS OF SALE
Yes sir, just as all good things must come to an end, so the annual summer sale must finish soon. There are still good sizes in Seal Kay and Superfine denim, plus those old Italian favourites JFour. If t shirts are your thing there are more prints and bargains than you can poke a stick at - Altru, Seal Kay, Red Dot and Superfine t's start at $49 plus shirts from Gas and One True Saxon. 11 January 2010 - CUSTOM MADE 10 SPEED
Isn't this a thing of beauty? A custom reworked bicycle using an original 80's frame - where else could that paintjob have come from? - with all new hardware to bring it up to date. I'm told this brand (Kuwahra) was the bike ET used in his journey over the moon and that's got to be a pretty good recommendation. It is a midsized frame that would suit anyone not over 6 feet I suppose, and is guaranteed not to be replicated anywhere - all bikes from our source are strictly one-offs using only the best parts.
